Tragedy in the Badminton Community
Two members of the badminton community in the Twin Cities were in a tragic accident in early April when their car went into the St. Croix River. It is with great sadness that we report the loss of Mohanraj Pothiraj on April 13. Deepa Vellusamy is still in intensive care, in serious condition, we wish her a full recovery.
Please keep them in your thoughts as well as their friends who were in the car, Rohini Krishnamurthy who passed away due to complications and Kalaiselvi Vijayakumar who is in critical condition.
GUEST POLICY
Our club's goal is promote the sport of Badminton within the Twin Cities. We would love to have the ability for anyone to pick up a racquet and visit us anytime. However, with 20 plus members and only two courts we have a restrictive guest policy to ensure adequate court time for existing members.
TCBC members have priority over guests, and therefore TCBC does not guarantee that guests will have a chance to play. Prior to visiting, guests should email us to make sure we will have available court time. Please include the following in your email:
Name, Email Address, Phone Number and Number of guests.
Since guests will have to play with advanced level players (our members), we stress that guests possess advanced badminton skills as well.
We welcome all advanced level guests to visit TCBC on Saturdays from 2:30 - 6:00 pm. Please limit your visits to two times per month. All guests are expected to bring their own racquets and feather birds.
